According to Invest Pacific, USD 225.7 million in investments were generated in 2024 from countries such as Brazil, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom. These investments have boosted sectors like BPO, logistics, food, pharmaceuticals, and construction, creating 2,200 new jobs.
The capital of the Atlántico department has proven to be a magnet for foreign capital, attracting USD 551 million in investment in 2024. Projects led by ProBarranquilla have created 1,778 jobs, positioning the city as a hub for foreign companies in sectors such as infrastructure, logistics, and manufacturing.
Renowned for its historical heritage and stunning beaches, Cartagena is also a strategic destination for investment. In 2024, Invest in Cartagena facilitated 24 new investments, with a projected economic impact of USD 485 million and over 1,400 jobs created. The city has become a global connection point, welcoming delegations from Germany, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Colombia is projected to experience higher economic growth than Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina over the next five years. This outlook, combined with increasing economic diversification and the country’s legal stability, reaffirms its position as an attractive destination for foreign investment.
